I checked out Canto to look into image tag editors, but I couldn't do anything on their site due to the annoying Cookie Consent pop-up. It completely blocks you from reading the Privacy Policy. Since that pop-up prevents any interaction, you can't even scroll through the policy to see what you're actually signing up for. They don't give you any options to adjust your cookie settings—it's all or nothing—so you’re left in the dark about how they’re tracking, using, or selling your data. Whether this is on purpose or just a mistake by the web developers, it’s really not cool.

Normally, I’d drop a note about this through a contact form, but surprise, surprise—you can’t use that until you agree to a policy that Canto won’t let you read.

With Canto, I can connect assets in different locations, but I can only manage and update them right within Canto. It’s made keeping our materials current across all platforms a breeze!

One of the standout features that influenced our decision was the facial recognition technology Canto offers. You just upload and tag a single photo of a person, and it automatically tags them in every other photo they appear in. This has been a game changer, especially since we have images going back over 20 years that lacked any metadata. I can't wait to explore more of what Canto has to offer down the line.

Navigating through it is a breeze, regardless of how skilled someone is. Sharing files through email or a link is straightforward. I have the option to keep folders private if not all have the rights to use the images. When downloading, I can choose the file size and the dimensions I prefer. Occasionally, thumbnail loading might be a bit slow, but the download speed is impressive. I definitely suggest giving Canto a try!

Canto: Your Essential Team Ally! This platform has created a central space for team collaboration. It has removed the hassle of dealing with numerous, redundant files that clutter shared drives and lead to confusion. Plus, their Customer Service is top-notch compared to any vendor I’ve dealt with. They’re always checking in, ensuring we’re getting the most out of the platform, and keeping us updated on new features that roll out every quarter. We’ve been so happy with their service that we decided to sign a three-year contract when it was time to renew. I can’t recommend them highly enough!
